Did the Jazz Not Do Their Homework on Burks

The Trib this morning said his left shoulder injury has been there since his days at Colorado. It seems like the coaches and front office should have approached drafting him with a healthy does of skepticism.

The fact it is going to need surgery at the best after the season seems like it's a pretty big deal. They also could have drafted Kawhi Leonard with that pick as he was availabe.

I worry about his head falling off from bending it back so far during his contortions.

This injury has clearly been an issue for the 3 years he's been in the league... Oh wait he's not missed any games until now. I do think he should just get the surgery now if it is needed eventually. Not sure if he can make it worse, but him playing less than healthy scares me a bit.

Imagining such scenerios only depresses me. Until we get a true Alpha Dog who is willing to put this team on his back and demand the best from the other players we will struggle. I love Burks, but he is a small cog in the quickly sinking machine that is the Utah Jazz. I still believe it can be turned around. Just searching for answers. Do i need prozac?

I just realized that highland homie and homie tennis are two different accounts.

Okay. Carry on.

Anytime someone brings this up I automatically lose all credit for that person.

Man, if only the Jazz had a crystal ball so they could see in the future. That way we would know exactly who to draft. Wev'e got to get one of those crystal bally thingys.

Are we sure that the Leonard we know and love would be the same Leonard if we were to draft him? I mean he is around a lot smart basketball minds that have probably helped him quite a bit along the way.

He had shooting coach wizard Chip Engelland fix his terrible shot out of college. If we drafted him over Burks, he would have been rotting on the bench behind vets just like Alec did, he would have been coached by Corbin instead of Pop, and wouldn't have had Duncan, Ginobili, Parker, etc as teammates.
