Did the Jazz Not Do Their Homework on Burks

Are we sure that the Leonard we know and love would be the same Leonard if we were to draft him? I mean he is around a lot smart basketball minds that have probably helped him quite a bit along the way.

He had shooting coach wizard Chip Engelland fix his terrible shot out of college. If we drafted him over Burks, he would have been rotting on the bench behind vets just like Alec did, he would have been coached by Corbin instead of Pop, and wouldn't have had Duncan, Ginobili, Parker, etc as teammates.

I know this thread is a few weeks old, but this article from the SL Trib shows that the Jazz have put a lot of effort into Burks' shoulder.
