Becoming a father changes a lot of men, but there's still a ton of lames out there that are sociopathic and selfish that they stick to their old ways. I know a few guys that would rather have their bm or the childs grandparents be the caretaker while they live like a scumbag.

Malik seems like a good man who morally wants to do right for his child. The gun incident, from what I've heard was an act of self-defense. People try to paint him as a thug, and that's just not true at all.
