DL - Swing for the Fences - Embiid?

Embiid scares the hell out of me. He could be Hakeem, he could be Oden.

Like Yao, he might fall apart too quickly.

Yao played 486 career regular season games and produced 65 win shares. That's roughly the same total value as Zach Randolph, Deron Williams or David Lee have produced thus far in their careers. Getting (at least part of) seven excellent seasons out of Embiid, with four of them coming at a rookie scale price, would be a fantastic outcome for the #5 pick.

 

[Litany]

Drafting Embiid and having him break down like Sam Bowie is a fireable pick. DL is pretty confident and the Millers love him; however, he can not miss on this pick. When you swing for the fences, you strike out a lot. DL is pretty aggressive, but if he likes his job, he better stay clear.

Fireable at 1-2 picks but not at 5 IMO.
