Does BYU finally have the better defense?

Their front 7 is as good as anyone in the country... Their secondary? Maybe only 3rd best in the state.

Good answer.

If I'm going against byu, I'm taking deep passes down the field all day long..... or just abuse that huge amount of space that the db's give the wideouts.

I would not even run against them.

I'd take six yard completions all day long. Just stand up and sling it to wideouts and watch them gain six yards. All. Day. Long.

This will make a good story game 4 since the Utes defense has been so stellar the last few years and the bayou offense less than staple under Bronco.

Rivalry might be worth watching this year

Van Noy is a freak. He's in on every play. Thats why their D is good

Van Noy is our Trevor Riley. He's the heart. But lets not act as if he's the only play maker. Ethan, King Lebronson Kaufusi will be playing on Sunday, Hadley is a stud, Fua is one helluva linebacker, and Sorenson is Andrew Rich Jr.

That entire front 7 is kick ***. Much like the cardinal. They get after you, play hard, and knock the snot out of you.

That secondary? Gives up a lot of cushion. They're far worse than last year. It isn't even close.

Having said that, that front 7 often ends the play before that back 4 can be exposed.

But if the cougs lost van noy, the defense would really suffer.

They could survive if hadley fua manumalleuna get hurt.

I think if kafusi or van noy got hurt the defense would suffer drastically but if other guys went down then we would be ok

He is the heart of that defense. Just like a healthy and revved up Trevor Riley jump starts that Utah defense.

Take Van Noy away and the cougar defense is really hurt. They lose their best play maker and leader. If I'm a NFL owner I love Van Noy. Can do it all, awesome motor, and never does anything stupid. No cheap shots or stupid penalties. He's the kind of guy who will anchor your d line for the next decade.

I said no, but I'm not sure how much I mean it.

Looking forward to the game in two weeks.

The only interest I have is seeing if Bronco can put together anything resembling a game plan. I'd say he's Whittingham's bitch, but that would be giving him way too much credit. Stake Prez doesn't have what it takes, and Whitt brings it every year.

I've never had less interest in the rivalry. Thanks Bronco.

Yes, obviously. BYU has the best everything. They just do the Christian thing and allow other teams to beat them. Especially when they play Utah. They allow Utah to beat them 70% of the time in Provo.

Thanks BYU. You're so nice.

Like I said before....^^^^ = conan

Honest to heart truth:

BYU's LB'ers are incredible. I am insanely jealous of how Bronco coaches that unit. They are incredible. I am always amazed out how good that unit is year after year. Watching BYU take advantage of Texas's stupidity and pride was almost as good as watching Utah FINALLY have an offense.

Last weekend was a great weekend for football in this state. I didn't even mention Keaton's amazing game.

I have been on this bandwagon for several years: BYU's biggest hindrance has been Roscoe. They need a football coach, not an elders quorum president.

LOL. I'm actually a pretty big BYU fan. BUT, I am a Utah fan first, and so that automatically makes me a BYU hater. I usually respond to over the top criticism about Utah with over the top criticism about BYU.

Like I said in the BYU/Texas thread, BYU isn't as bad as people thought, and BYU fans would have wind in their sails again after the Texas game. Guess I was right.
