Don't the Sixers Have a Bunch of Picks

I'll still be laughing plenty at Philly .. they're a freaking disgrace to basketball the way they've managed things the last few years

Nah, don't get caught up in everything you read. All kinds of crap articles about how they are the worst tankers ever, and yet they weren't even the worst tankers last year. They have a solid rebuilding plan, which is far better than being a team like the suns who are stuck on the treadmill, or a team like the Nets who tried to buy a successful team. Let's check back in 5 years and see how Philly compares to Phoenix.

Even with the Knicks, we aren't moving up that far without giving up players that we are not trading. Also, for those who like to make fun of Philly, smart money says they will have the last laugh. That team is going to be ridiculously stacked when all is said and done.

If they draft well and don't draw it out to long. After a while busts and losing those first drafted becomes a problem.

No rebuilding plan is foolproof. Just the same, I'd much prefer their direction to most teams. Denver is another team that is operating the way a lot of fans here think is best. Their direction sucks, if they even have one.

the Jazz should look to move up in the 2nd for a prospect who slips or get two draft and stash international prospects to add to their asset portfolio.
Huh? Asset portfolio? These aren't diversified stocks; they're players who haven't exactly been jumping out of their skin to come over and play for the Jazz in recent years. And all we're doing is collecting them -- not trading them.

We have enough of those. No thank you.

Utah isn't adding 3 rookies to the roster next year. We have two 2nd rounders, so if they aren't traded, we will use at least one as draft and stash. We don't need every D&S player to work out, but we do have to do something with those picks, and they don't have a lot of trade value. Next year we have 3 2nds, and 4 2nds the year after that, so you might as well get used to those picks being used on Euros who might never come over or just never become good. If we ever do strike gold, it will be well worth all the 2nds that didn't pan out.
