Dreaded trade idea that may or may not be realistic

Jazz trade Jefferson, Bell, and one of our picks for Gallo, and Afflalo.

Denver does it because hopefully they come to realize they made a mistake trading Nene. In doing so they lost their only inside offense, which balances out there perimeter game. Al would be a nice fit with Faried who is a high energy guy who is mor of a defender slasher type of player that doesn't need plays run for. They get a lotto pick they might like, bell can be their defender to replace Afflalo.

Jazz do this because they need to clear some extra minutes for Kanter and Favors. Gallo could be a great pickup can play sf or be a stretch 4, and is a good shooter, which fills a big need on this team a sf that can shoot. They also get a tough nosed defender who is a good three point shooter.

Jazz lineup:
Harris, Watson (or Draft pick instead of Watson)
Burks, Afflalo, Hayward
Gallo, Hayward
Millsap, Favors, Gallo
Favors, Kanter

This would be a lineup for next year

Nuggets lineup:
Lawson, miller
Fernandez, Bell,
Chandler, Harrington m
Faried, Anderson
Al, McGee (assuming they can resign him, he is asking for Big Al money) Mozguv

This all depends on how much Denver likes Gallo, and how desperate they become for inside scoring. This is probably a pipe dream of a trade, but don't forget they also get a lotto pick, that I didn't add in the Denver lineup maybe Beal or Rivers.

Not a good idea. Affalo is on the books for 7.5 million a year until 2016, that could get in the way of resigning our own players and Affalo at 26 is a pretty average player.
Gallo is a restricted FA this summer and is going to be thrown some serious cash from down and out teams like the Nets which would further screw us.

Not a good idea. Affalo is on the books for 7.5 million a year until 2016, that could get in the way of resigning our own players and Affalo at 26 is a pretty average player.
Gallo is a restricted FA this summer and is going to be thrown some serious cash from down and out teams like the Nets which would further screw us.

Would you do it if Bell, and Afflalo were taken out? But as I'm writing this it probably doesn't work money wise, unless they can use the Nene trade exception, not sure how that works though, or if you can do it that way. Or when the time comes couldn't we just amnesty Affalo?

Affalo at 26 is a pretty average player.

He would be a very good roll player, who is a good shooter and is a very good defender. As far as roll players go he is very good and can see him as a key contributer on a playoff team.
