Dumb pig cops getting smarter?

A dumb redneck who had a pulse was able to get a police badge and wanted to pretend he was in a movie. He drew his gun on unarmed kids and even showed his big bad strength by manhandling a girl and throwing her to the ground. Then he kept her pinned down by digging his knees into her back while she laid w/o struggle.

But at least this dumb pig learned maybe you can't shoot and kill unarmed civilians for nothing even though you think you are a hero because you signed up to get a badge and gun.

This pig was already suspended. Doubtful he gets charged with anything, but hopefully he gets terminal cancer and can't have children.

Some context - kid who uploaded the video is white and said throughout the whole ordeal he felt invisible to the cops on the scene. Also, not sure if the morbidly obese white guy in the polo and jean shorts is a cop or just another white POS who wants to be a cop but is too poor to pay for a badge like that old white guy from Tulsa who bought a badge and gun and killed an innocent person with his "power".

Can you try to communicate like an adult?

Yeah, sorry. I was using sarcasm in the original post to point out that in the daily abuse of power by the police force in the USA, there was one instance where an innocent civilian wasn't murdered by an officer at the end and it was documented on video.

Lol.

That was hilarious in the beginning of the video where the cop is running and trips.

He was doing a barrell roll. I don't think it was a trip. It's even funnier that he was doing a barrell roll. The pig thinks he's in a movie.

I do think this video illustrates what is wrong with the current approach of law enforcement in the U.S. today.

These were kids who were not allowed to swim in a pool they were having a pool party at. They were asked to leave and did not leave. Then the police showed up...

Things got considerably worse due to the presence of over aggressive police who were dealing with juvenile trespassers.

The police should be "peace officers" restoring peace to otherwise unpeaceful situations. They should be experts at diffusing minor situations such as this. Instead they become instigators and escalate minor situations into major confrontations.

Notice how the crowed responds to what is clearly an injustice, the over use of force against a minor female. Everyone who sees it knows it is wrong. That young woman does not need to be man handled that way. I can only imagine that the trauma she suffers as a result is great and many who witness it have to hold themselves back, in fear of their lives, from saving her from it.

We have a long way to go before we can hold our heads high and claim to be civilized. Our police are currently one of the lowest examples of what it means to live in a civilized society. They should be setting the standard.

Good post.

Cops generally seem to err on the side of overreaction and over-aggression even in minor situations where it's obviously uncalled for

It's a shame that, as great a country as we profess to be, we've lost sight of the things that make us strong, and seem hell bent on becoming as divided and polarized as we can.

It's getting to be Lord of the Flies out there, man.

^basically copy-and-paste this in reference to the past 500 years. Probably more.

so these juveniles who totally lack respect are not partially at fault?
juveniles who trespassed and dont give a**** about being civil are onot at fault?
or their parents who failed to give them a good upbringing are also free form blame?

they where acting like a bunch of hoodrat monkeys, being a burden on the neighborhood.
a detriment on peace in that neighborhood
hahahahahhahahahaa

sur ehe should not have pulled his gun.
but if u watch carefully he was getting surrounded by ******* it is sometimes natural insting when u get surrounded by uncivil ******* to grab a weapon. ofcourse his training should have held him back. but none of you have that training or have been in intimidating situation so it is easy to talk.

Holy crap. It looks like every single person in a 5 miles radius is at that one intersection. I can understand the cops having a bit of confusion when there are 300 people milling around on the same street. They handled the situation wrong, but if you and your partner got called out to a domestic incident of kids at a pool uninvited and found 300 people that you suddenly thought you had to control, I could imagine anyone being a bit overwhelmed. But wow, if you don't have enough information maybe that is the first thing you do, gather more information. Don't just go nuts on everything.

That said I would like to see what happened right when they arrived and what information they had to work with. It is tough from a shaky video from some kids phone to really know everything that went down. It is interesting how context gets thrown out the window as long as we have some video footage that shows something we immediately perceive as bad. Good thing our justice system requires different standards than internet judges.

Edit: have to add, to make sure it is clear, I think what the cop did with that girl was excessive and that kind of **** needs to stop. But it all has a beginning somewhere and seldom do we see the beginnings to these things. Usually it picks up when some one decides this would make a cool youtube video and pulls out their phone.

IF you had any credibility, you lost it right there.

Yeah his word selection was way off base, but the point was somewhat valid. Fletcher Reed said it best, "stop breaking the law *******!" In many of these videos, especially ones like this, it is easy to lose sight of the fact that if those kids weren't trespassing in the first place NONE of this goes down. It reminds me of my kids. I would ask one of them why he/she didn't get their chore done or whatever and the first thing they say is "but Billy didn't get his chore done either". It doesn't excuse them and it shouldn't be an excuse here either. Don't forget, there are 2 sides to every one of these.

I get that, Log, but if one wishes to make a point, and be taken seriously, one should avoid seasoning their statement with racially charged name calling. To me, that indicates an inability to see the two sided nature of the problem.

I am not arguing that one bit. But at the same time we shouldn't let our reaction to that cause us to miss what may be valid and important points.

Edit: this is even a very minor example of that. Instead of discussing the fact that we need to hold people accountable for breaking the law we are discussing the problems with personal expression.

Sure. It means this forum has too many unchecked trolls that type out some truly clownish Utah racist rhetoric. Same fellows that also call themselves 'Christian'; as long as they can drink by themselves, knock up their wives every year or so, and sit pat with their testimony for a con artist on a weekly basis, then discussions like this are clearly skewed towards inane.
