What's new

Earl was horrible tonight

Tinsley is clearly the #2.

Watson has been over-rated on this board since day 1 because our standards have been systematically lowered over the years by horrible journeymen PG's (list too numerous to mention).

I think you bring Watson off the bench to make the occassional hustle play - particularly on the road.

Good theory. Every since Eisley Jazzfanz has been looking for the next reliable backup PG.

Yes, Maynor was and is a good player. To be fair to Earl, he hasn't played and he is coming off an injury, so you can't judge him by last night's game, just as you can't judge DWill by last night. Both are much better than they showed. Nevertheless, Tinsley is superior and I think the more minutes he gets, the better he will perform as he has been out of the league awhile, and with his readjusted attitude he is now making better use of his skills than in his younger days, though he is not nearly as athletic as he was.

Earl is a horrendous shooter and scoring pg. He can run the team ok at times and gets a decent amount of assists. However, the other team can back off of Earl since he shoots so abysmally. He's a great defender and energy guy but hacks a lot and thus gives us more fouls for the penalty. His play was beyond frightening last night, turning the ball over, missing everything (airballs), and just looking out of sorts. I think Ty should use the PG's situationally but consider Tinsely the primary back-up for now. Tinsely has been chucking a bit, lately.
