ESPN Insider Article Re: Future of Jazz and Nuggets

Either I'm misremembering or you are. I don't think Favors stunk it up once he was in a Jazz uniform at nearly the rate you're implying. I recall a steady and promising progression, not one good game followed by five stinkers.
I think Thriller has his jersey numbers mixed up. Favors wore #15, not #47 or #34. It was AK and CJ that would play great for 1 game and then stink it up for 5 after that.

I'm with you, donuts, I saw pretty steady progression from Favors. Rookies never get calls. Favors played pretty good defensively, got a few blocks. For the season he averaged 7/5 with 1 block and 3 fouls in just under 20 mins. His scoring was a little up, rebounds the same and fouls lower with the Jazz vs. his stats in NJ. He needs to work on his FT shooting. Realistically, I see him averaging 25 mins/per next season, barring a Millsap trade. Favors should be able to up his averages to 12/8 with a couple of blocks. And that's all the Jazz would need out of him. Remember, he'll only be 20 yrs old! Just keep improving his game every season like Malone did.

I understant the Favors - Oneal comparison, but being optomistic, I hope that Favors can be the one and only Favors. Someone that you cant commpare with anyone else. Probably will be comparible with another PF out there, but hoping not.

I never have been a fan of KOC, but I really like what he did with the D-Will trade. I feel that he made the most out of a rough situation that he possibly could have.

Agree. Maybe KOC can be criticized for not shopping DWill a bit more. Could he have gotten more in terms of value? Perhaps. But we know KOC really wanted Favors in the draft. And you can't argue with getting two lottery picks. Yes, it was lucky the first one turned into the #3 pick. Had Denver made this same deal for Carmello, I wonder if we'd be saying it was a great trade? Only time will tell if the trade ends up revitalizing or setting back the Jazz. It certainly was a high-risk/high-reward deal. I just want basketball to start up again. The Jazz are going to be hurt if there is a shortened pre-season as the offense and defense schemes will likely (hopefully) be different or at least altered some under Corbin.
