I mean can you blame the dude for thinking this is possible? I mean I’m pretty sure the nba told Dallas give the lakers a discount on Luka deal and we’ll hand you Flagg. I mean if the nba wants to promise us the first pick in next years draft then I’m game. I’ll sell my soul

In a way it's kind of a decent trade for Utah (not a good one and no I wouldnt do it). Warriors are the ones who are getting really boned.
This trade would make the Lakers core be Luka/Reaves/Kuminga/Walker. I'm sure that's still a playoff team as long as they have decent role players, but Kuminga doesnt fit that team at all and they would be finacially committed to him and Walker moving forward, maybe to the point where they couldnt even keep Reaves, so it might help the Jazz's Lakers pick in 2027. The 2028 Warriors pick could be gold. 6 years from now the Lakers could implode if the new ownership really tries to be aggressive and fails like we see a lot of new rich owners do.

It's plausible but feels pretty awkward at best for all 3 teams. Dubs get minimal value for Kuminga, LAL cap straps themselves to a good-but-probably-not-good-enough core, and the Jazz do not get enough value back for parting with Walker AND Flip.
Even if they're unprotected picks, I hesitate at valuing any future pick from a handful of franchises, LAL and GSW included. These teams can just spend so much money, and re-load rather than re-build, which they'll have zero incentive to do if they don't even own their pick in a given year.

The only thing good about this trade is the GSW pick, and the LAL pick is gonna be trash. Lakers will be very good by then with Luka, and other players the nba sends for more ratings.
Luka will cost 75 million per year by then and unless they managed their team very well, wont have money to get anyone else.
