Exhibit 10 contract

The new rules allow an Exhibit 10 contract. This contract enables teams to sign a player to a regular NBA minimum deal, but convert it to a two-way deal anytime before the regular season begins. Any candidates for this of the new players signed as undrafted free agents?

Since Utah already has two 2-way players under contract, I don't see how they could use this.

They would have to cut ties to one of the two way guys, or waive a player with a regular contract and sign one of the two way guys to a regular NBA contract.

It adds nice flexibility. I imagine that 2-way buyers remorse could come into play every year with some of the players DL wants to kick the tires on.

Don't see that happening. Griffin is a lock for one of the 2-way contracts. He won't be released. I guess they could replace Wolters, but he's as good any of the other Jazz FA's. And Utah already has to cut someone to get to 15 so it's not like they can bump someone up to the NBA roster.
