Here's a little article, which is a bit overly positive but interesting nonetheless. It's perfect for a Jazz off-season.

I really liked it. It's on the positive side, but nothing he said is super egregious.

It's clear that Favors is going to be a game-changing defensive presence. And Kanter is an absolute hoss. He's 20 years old and is hands down one of the strongest players in the league. His size alone will make him a substantial post presence.

We are, undeniably, situated well in the frontcourt for the foreseeable future. I expect Favors to be an 18-21 ppg guy...Kanter, who knows (probably more like 12-15ppg). But I certainly expect them to become the best rebounding frontcourt in the NBA and one of the league's premier defensive tandems.

I liked this too.

I really wonder that if KOC calculated all possibilities before selecting Kanter and took the all risk due to Kanter's lack of experience, etc. I mean if jonas valanciunas was avaiable for the NBA, he could choose him over Kanter? Or If Derrick williams was not selected by minnesota, he could choose him and trade millsap? If the name was certain in his mind and chose kanter over these names, he is as succesful as Sam Presti about drafts. It is like choosing Harden over tyreke Evans and it shows. I hope it just happens for Kanter soon too.

I enjoy that these two are light years ahead of our Memo/Boozer tandem, defensively.
Still, will Favors and Kanter ever average 38.5 ppg over the course of a season together (Booz and Memo in 07)? If they can pull this off while still defending competently, then I really got high hopes for this core. Cards are stacked against us for the time being, though. What three seasons of Nash could do for this team...
