Favors - can't we accept him as a Tyson Chandler type of player?

A lot of talk both in the media and here about how Favors haven't really improved offensively over the offseason, etc, etc, etc.

What's wrong with accepting him for who he is? A defensive minded player who can really dunk off an alley hoop or pick & roll? Make him focus on the defensive side of the game and pair him with an offensively minded player (Jefferson or Millsap are both great offensively).

If he can first start out as a Chandler type player then somehow blossom into a Dwight type player - then that would be idea. But let's face it guys, he's never going to be Amar'e.

Not if the only touches we give him are posting up.

It's all i say from the beginning. He's gonna be good defensive C pairing with Kanter as PF. He just needs to improve his frame for battling better and avoiding quick fouls.

Chandler has a career average of 8.6 PPG. Favors manages to ALREADY give us that in just 20 minutes while, IMO, misusing him. Give him time to develop, starter's minutes, use him correctly, and you'll find a player far superior than Chandler on offense.

Heh, I know. I've always been one of the biggest Kanter supporters on here, but now that everyone is starting to realize what tards they were for giving up on him so quickly, it looks like my efforts must now go towards calming everyone down about Favors' offense.

/sigh...

Keeping you all in check is exhausting.

I think Tyson Chandler lite is his basement at this point, and that's still ****ing rad.
 
We all know it, but Favors is going to have a BIG game in the next two or three games. I mean, like 20/15.. and then what?

I'm having fun with all this because we don't much matter, but I'm liking where we're sitting with this team. I would LOVE to get a killer PG .. but still.

Hell ya! That is rad to give away Deron Williams for Tyson Chandler lite. Looks like we are going to make out like bandits on this one boys.
