Following Former Jazzmen around the Association

So old time jazzfanz remember the good ole days, when good players stayed with the Jazz. Now with the modern style Jazz there are former players scattered all across the NBA.

Once a jazzman, always a jazzman.

I thought it would be fun to check in on our former friends and heros.

Opening night of the NBA there were 8 former jazzmen starting on not Jazz teams.
Additionally, I counted 6 former jazzmen catching action in games.

Cj miles went 4-8 from three point line on his way to 18 points in a loss to DeMarre Carroll and the Raptors. DeMarre had 14 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists.

In Charlotte, two former Jazzmen teamed up, rather than matched up. Marvelous Marvin Williams, and Al, really big bed, Jefferson started for the Horncats in their 94-104loss to the Heat. Marvin had 10 rebounds and 10 points but went 0-5 from 3pt ( a true Jazzman still). While Big Al, only played 22 minutes but was still able to get up 14 shots for 17 points.

Two more jazzmen are teammates in Cleavlend. Mo williams started and scored 9 points on 3-6 3pts, and 5 assists. Richard, my mom got her doctorate because we are democrats, Jefferson scored an efficient 14 points in 18 minutes coming off the bench.

Speaking of the Bench...

That is exactly where Jazzfanz's favorite Turke started the Thunder game. But atleast he got off the bench. Poor Steve Novak never took off the warm-ups against the Spurs. Enes sat in favor of Steve Adams. Enes finished with 15 points, 16 rebounds, and 1 foul. No steals, blocks, or turnovers. Vintage Enes right there.

In Dallas the game featured 5 former jazzmen including the awkward meeting of Deron Williams, Jeremy Evans, and Devin, he was once an all-star, Harris.

Deron: hi do I know you?
Jeremy: yea, we played together when I was a rookie. you chucked a ball at my friends head, and made the coach quite just after I sketched a nice picture of him.
Deron: yea, sorry about that, I was a real prick.
Devon: yes you were. They were so glad to see you gone it took them like a whole year to realize I don't like basketball.

Deron started, he had 12 points and 7 assists.
Jeremy came off the bench, he hit more 3 pointers than anyone on the Jazz not named Raul, and had 6 rebounds.
Devin Harris had 10 points.
Wes Mathews had 9 points in 26 minutes.

For the Suns Ronnie Price had 2 fouls and 2 turnovers, but was still +7.

In Sacramento Boom B, Kosta Koufos started and had 10 points and 7 rebounds.

randy foye off the bench for Denver...1-6 from 3pt in 18 minutes.
