Former players still love Utah.

I think the perception of Utah is starting to change. Salt Lake has become a more progressive city but yet is still considered a great place to raise a family. Its contiunally listed as the best places to live both for families and even single poeple.

I think its huge that Deron Williams family continues to live in Salt Lake full time. Also Kirilenko's family still lives here a great deal and she recently posted this on Instagram:

From dusk till dawn...#temple#peace#love If there is heaven on earth it's here. Forever greatful to people of this land. This land made me a better person. My kids are the happiest here and so am I . I admire you utah people, you are blessed and so am I ....❤️ good night my beautiful land..

Okur is still very fond of Utah even though he lives in San Diego. But overall I think many people think Salt Lake is a great place to live and that's transitioning into the NBA. Even Dennis Lindsay spoke about how much interest there was in the Jazz job because of not only the ownership but the location as well.

It is great for players that are family men such as Deron Williams. For those that are not family men Utah is bottom of the list.

Agree.
And that's a very nice post by Masha. She and AK went through a lot of crap the last few years...and I'm not saying it was totally undeserved. Others may have looked for the first chance to get the hell out of the state. AK back to the Jazz in a year at the vet minimum? I think he'd be good off the bench for 15 mins/per.

I would rather have him than Marvin.

What crap did they go through?

If Salt Lake City can bring in some world class eye surgeons, there should be no reason for any player to NOT want to play for the Jazz...

Just talking about the constant denigration of AK in the media and on this board. AK feeling he had been frozen out of the offense by Deron. The deterioration of his relationship with Sloan, a couple of trade rumors, including one which made KOC absolutely LIVID when it was leaked and then fell through.

Wasn't Masha suspected of posting on this board?

Which makes no sense because he lived in Oklahoma City. I have lived in both cities and SLC is like San Fran compared to OKC.

Maybe he just hated Sloan.
