Free Parking Nearest VSHA

Where's the most convenient place to park for free or cheap near the Vivint Smart Home Arena (within a couple blocks)? Going to a game soon and I don't make it to downtown SLC very much.

I just take traxx. They drop you right off at the arena.

I would scrape together $10 and park at the hotel directly to the south of the arena. I've parked there twice and it is so easy and convenient.

I used to do trax, then it got so expensive for 2-4 people to ride that it was cheaper to drive and park.

There are a couple of free parking stalls by pioneer park. Just don't leave any valuables in the car, and roll down the windows so the homeless guys don't break them.

There's also a hotel a couple of blocks north that charges $6. And some $5 lots within about 2 blocks.

When I first saw "VSHA" in the thread title I had no idea what the OP was referring to.

I walk to the arena but when I drove I went north of the stadium or parked at trax. It's cheaper and easier to get out of the north parking lots. Plus going to 600 north exit gets you onto the freeway much faster.

I always park on the north side of the arena. Seems like the south side is always a mad house trying to get out of. If I'm coming from the south end of the valley I always head down I-15 and take the 600 North exit. Then I back track on 400 West towards the arena. There are some good $5 lots between 200 north and N. Temple. Then when I leave I usually head down N. Temple to Redwood and get on I-215 there. I'm always able to get to the games and leave the games very quickly.

there is some on street parking along 400 West (north bound) even some right next to the stadium if you get there early and you are real lucky. I would NOT park at the Hyat on 50 North, the $5 is tempting, but hey wont let you come out on 400 West after the game and force you west down through a congested mess.

Also some free on-street north of crown burger on 300 west about 150 north.

If you get there early and are looking for food on a budget, try the BC café at the Triad Center. It is cafeteria food but it is close to the VSHA and cheap, usually no crowd.

My families tix come w parking, but when I buy other tickets I just go to Crown Burger. Spend $14 on food and get free parking.

Last game I went to there were footprints in the snow behind my car and a truck just a few stalls away lost a window. I'll probably park somewhere more secure.

How big were the footprints?

Could have been Bear.....................................or a Squatch.
