FSN HD Picture Quality

I realize this may be a problem with my cable company, but I wanted to try here first.

The FSN HD picture quality on my TV during the Jazz broadcasts sucks. The problem seems to be the frame rate. It is way too low, making the video look very choppy. It looks quite similar to video I shoot with my old Flip 30fps video camera.

The strange thing is, when the broadcast comes back from a commercial break it looks perfectly smooth. Then, about 30-60 seconds later it suddenly converts back to the choppy picture and stays that way until the next break.

I only experience this when watching the Jazz games on FSN HD... no other channels that I have noticed.

Anyone else have this problem? My provider is Veracity, BTW (a company you've never heard of unless you live in Provo or Lehi).

Some older generation HD boxes would tend to overheat which can result in a choppy effect like your describing, or a video with a lot of artifacts. This was the case for our Baja Broadband box and the only way to fix it was the company updated us to a newer box that wouldn't get so hot DVRing things whilst watching HD channels.

I have DirecTV and the FSNHD broadcasts are great. As good as any other NBA feeds.
