Game Highlights vs Minny

Nice highlights.
What stood out to me tonight while watching the game was lyles offense and Goberts general activity level and bounciness. Gobert looked good physically which was nice to see

Mack is really getting Favors some easy mid-range look.

Could Mack make Favors an All Stars the way DWill was supposed to make Big Al an All Stars but never could???

Haven't you heard tho? We need to trade Rudy before his trade value drops, just cuz. Oh look, I see a bright, shinny penny!

reminds me of all those times that Glen Davis tried to make other players an All Star. Good comp brough

Gobert, Favors and Lyles all looked pretty good. If those three plus Hayward, Hood and Mack all show up. . . The Jazz have a decent shot to win almost every night. They're still clearly in the lower tier of playoff teams, but a strong finish this year, internal growth from the young guys, full health and some moves in the offseason to strengthen the bench and they'll be in good position for a jump next year. Probably would have made it this year if Exum, Burks, Favors and Gobert had all been more healthy than they were.

Lyles in particular impressed me. Both in his ability to shoot from deep AND then counter that by putting the ball on the floor and blowing past his defender for the dunk. Thing if absolute beauty. Teams will envy what the Jazz front court looks like two years from now.

What has impressed me about Lyles is how fast he climbed his "learning curve." I don't believe I have ever seen a Jazz player end his rookie year showing more offensive talent, with the exception of -- maybe -- Deron. Certainly not Malone or Stockton.

It's just hard to believe he is the same guy as that piss-poor "bust" we saw last November.

This.
He couldn't make a single shot for quite a while to start the year. I think he started the season 0-10 or something (can someone look it up?)
He even seemed to struggle from the line for the majority of the season iirc.

An amazing turnaround.

Lyles is at 69% from the line, 44% from the field, and 38% from three on the year right now.

I would be curious to know how his percentages look over about the last 30 days or so vs his season stats

And neto is shooting over 42% from three.
Both rookies playing way over my expectations for them.

DL continues to draft well and Snyder is developing these guys nicely.

DL and snyder age looking like a good combo going forward

Yo Prodigy!

Thanks for that. I was not able to finish the game as I had a dinner I had to go to. Good looking out, son.

I wish Lyles would improve I feel like he's worse than he was at the beginning of the year

Is this some sort of troll comment?

Hayward had a similar rookie season. Although not quite as bad at first, he struggled with his shooting. And then, IIRC, he was the best 3PT shooter in the league after January. Or maybe that was his 2nd year?

Lyles has changed my mind.
