Remember when LeBron left Miami and Bosh had a deal in place with Houston? But wanting to save face Miami maxed out Bosh for years and money?

If Hayward leaves my nightmare scenario is that we do the same to Hill.

Just sayin.

Yep, that's one of the things that I fear most too. And not only with Hill. I fear we will give stupid money to aging past their prime players that will become albatross of contracts as soon as year 2 of the contracts. I really hope we don't do something stupid and exacerbate the situation.

If I'm DL, I don't do a thing with Hill until we know what's happening with Hayward. If Hayward stays, keep Hill if it makes financial sense. If Hayward leaves, bye bye Hill.

I'm not too worried. Lindsey is a really smart guy and I think would simply rebakk the cake. I'd expect him to turn the keys over to Exum, allow Mitchell and Bolomboy and to a lesser degree, Bradley, to get good burn, while still playing Favors and Hood a lot to see what we have there and increase their value to trade them or see what we have if we want to re-sign them a year from now, depending on the vibe he's getting from their agents. I think Bolomboy makes a leap and therefore would expect Favors to be the one to be traded and Hood to be re-signed. JJ could be another one to be traded at the deadline. Either way, like I said, we're in really good freakin' hands and am not really worried Lindsey would make such a move.

DL has already gone on record and said if George Hill gets a ridiculous contract offer he will congratulate him and no hard feelings.

That is basically saying they arent maxing him, or probably even coming close to it.

Im hopeful for Hill just his presence does something to our team. He played great even not being 100%

I trust Lindsey as well...but I hope his "Plan B" doesn't involve more cakes. I'm on a low carb diet now...

Since his playing with Hill is one the Jazz's strongest selling points based on everything we can know, I don't think it works in that order.

I see no reason they can't be negotiating with both at the same time.

If you wanna take DL to task for drafting Lyles over Booker, go right ahead. If you wanna call him for out for Trey Burke, you wouldn't be wrong, but the one thing DL hasn't done is make panicked decisions that saddle this team with albatross contracts. Don't see why that would start now.

If Hayward leaves, the Jazz could still keep Hill. They'll still try to make a play in free agency with money they would have given to Hayward. I doubt they offer Hill more than 3 years, and I doubt they guarantee he'll start for all three years. I think they believe in Exum or Mitchell to start in a year or two. The Jazz could also entertain a sign-and-trade with Minnesota.

I want no part of Hill if Hayward leaves.

Wow, what an awesome Jazzman, George Hill doing a charity movie night in San Antonio...

"indianageorge3Good Morning SA if u know me you know its all about the kids and the community so I want to do something special and invite kids from ages 6 to 13 years old to the first annual summer movie night with Me! We will be watching the new Despicable Me movie. All kids will enjoy food from @bushschickensa This event takes place on Thursday June 29,2017"

Of course some rude person asked George in the comments why he never did anything like that in his home town.

It seems Hill has made up his mind. Perhaps that means Hayward has as well.
