They are a novelty that betokens the future, imo.

What a cunning runt. I want to punch that dumb bitch in the cooter. Anyone who wears a pair of those in public deserves anything they get.

Lol. This is such a stupid argument. What's the difference between 20 phones in a bar and people wearing glass? Both do the same things. Both can be used to secretly film someone.

Stupid.

with a phone. you gotta point the phone. which in turn might give it away for long term thinking.

if those glassholes have the right to walk with that i have te right to mount 2 gatling guns on my shouder and walk around like that.

seeing as camera does more damage these days then gatling guns.
also note facial recognition.

in short. by walking with that and facial recognition. they get a hud(heads up display) that shows all your relevant fb/linkedin info.
no privacy whatsoever. time for countermeasures

Not to mention the utility of a phone vs. Google Glass. Most people are just "hiding" by using their phone in public. Acting busy. Trying to not face the reality that they might seem "alone" to others/feel alone themselves for a few moments. But at least you can tell their focus is on that phone and leave them be. I've worn Google Glass. There is not much you can do that won't make you look like a total idiot in public. Even if you aren't recording, it's awkward because you're zoning out to something that is touching your face/eyes directly and you still look like you should be in semi-reality because your facing forward even though you're off in La-La land.

A lot of face punches ahead for those that wear these, no doubt.

So glad I hate the human race and have no desire to know anything whatsoever about random people.

Except it's not an argument, but rather, an observation. I never said a thing about filming people, making calls, or phones in a bar. It's nice that you took the time to actually read and/or think before opening your dumbass gob.

Just kidding, you didn't.

My point was, regardless of what the glasses do, you look like a total dick hole wearing them, and more specifically to the thread (imagine that, folks!) that girl was acting like an elitist prick. I bet she spends a lot of time protesting funerals, attending PETA meetings, and burning Mormon temple clothes at their general conference. In short, I bet she's a Ute fan and you two would get along famously.
