What's new

Grant Jarrett

I'm hardly a great evaluator of basketball talent, but the rare times I saw him play I saw absolutely nothing that suggests he'll be anything but a 4 year sort of career NBA player. Like I'm sure if you put him in a Y league he'd dominate but I'm not even sure how he's in the league against NBA talent.

I think the issue with Hart is that he was at least trying to play basketball. Ameachi acted like he had never even picked up a basketball once arriving in Utah. He had no desire to play. You could have picked a greencoat guarding the Delta Center aisle and got more effort at center.

But, of course, Sloan only hated him because he was gay.

I don't think I've hated any Jazz player ever more than Ameachi. Well maybe Kanter, but at least Kanter gave a **** half the time. Amaechi was about the most worthless player I've ever seen, and he's such a pompous c-word to boot. He actually wrote this in his book:

"The problem was not my commitment to the game. I was working as hard, with what I had, as anyone on the team. The truth is Sloan and Jazz management hadn't done their research - otherwise known as scouting. They could tell you all my court tendencies, how I played the game and why I should fit into the system. But they knew nothing of my character."

So it's the Jazz's fault that they didn't know he was a lazy ****.

Amaechi is my most hated "athlete" of all time. He has an ESPN radio gig, where he mostly just whines about how hard he has it being gay rather than having any sports insight. If I was gay I would be pissed that this guy is out there thinking he is representing me.

Grant's case is just weird to me. He was a **** player one year in college, gets drafted just because he is big and can shoot, is a below average D-League player, but somehow got a guaranteed deal in the 2nd round? That just seems weird to me.

Milf made'm do it.

That's why I didn't list them in my post.

What did "blockbuster" mean in your post? I assumed this was sarcasm, that the trade had only scrubs and therefore the trade was not a blockbuster. That is why I thought it was curious that you omitted the two best players in the trade.

Sounds like I may have misinterpreted your post.
