Do you think higher alcohol percentage beer, from 4%abv to beers that will mostly be in the 5.5% to maybe 6.5% range, is going to cause more deaths and ruined families?
Certain beer styles call for certain ratios of alcohol to malt and alcohol to bitterness and bitterness to malt. When you restrict the alcohol percentage to some silly arbitrary number you make it impossible for actual representations of certain styles to be sold. Good news for budlight I guess.
Alcohol percentage is restricted, yet I can go into 7-11 and buy as many 30 packs of natural light as I want. But I sure can't buy a decent stout at 7-11, cause that would ruin families.
