Again he stressed the Jazz's philosophy of drafting the best player available.

But can we read into anything he said here?

Knight is by no mean the consensus #3 pick, but many mock drafts have the Jazz picking Knight at #3 because of the Jazz's perceived need for a future PG.

Going by what Greg said above, and my estimation of who the best bigs and shooters are in this draft:

- Best big that will be left at #3 is Kanter.
- Best shooter by a long shot in this draft has to be Jimmer.

Does this imply Kanter #3 and Jimmer #12?

Discuss.

Wrong. The mocks have knight at three because outside of this board, people believe him to be a very good talent and worthy of number 3. He improves penetration and shooting, two areas we need alot of help with.

^^^^^^

This says loads about you. Koc if you are watching please disregard beanclown. Thanks.

Yea, because we really want a PG who's biggest weakness is "turnovers and being able to finish at the rim"

Big men carry teams, not PG's. You not knowing this says loads about you.

Exactly what do you know about kanter genius? Thats what i thought. Your assesment of knight is from one who really did not follow much college bb. Am i correct? Good bigs carry teams. We have three that are better than kanter will ever be.

*psst* BOX is hinting we need to keep a better cover. Other GMs are probably trolling here and we need to throw them off the scent.

Jazz! PLEASE draft Brandon Knight because Deron isn't here anymore.

I should say that i say this also knowing nothing about kanter except that he is pussin out on working out against other players and has not proven himself over any amount of time.

I didn't hear him mention Kanter at all. And in reference to Jimmer, he actually said the opposite...that the Jazz would draft BPA and there is more concern over building a winning team than putting a novelty on the floor. However, for the Kanter-lovers, there was mention that the Jazz are not in the least bit concerned about having too many players at one position. If that happens, then Greg said something to the effect the Jazz can sort it out later.

At least he recognizes his strength is not personnel and he's willing to leave those decisions in the hands of KOC and the coaching staff.

Please draft get here soon. Icant wait to see the board erupt into a frenzy because koc took the bpa being knight. And then halfway into next season when we move harris for a solid wing and knight is running with favors and hayward everyone will be all on his nutz. Deja vu of our 2010 pick, fo real!

But Kanter has nothing to gain. He is already a top 5 pick. Also playing against others increases risk of injury.

Kanter already destroyed Jared Sullinger, thats enough. Not to mention his athletic stats at the combine solidified him for me as the Jazz pick.

I think every team wants to get bigger and have shooters, it is no secret. You still get BPA.

There are much better PG's in next years draft.

Really? Who?

Next years draft is loaded with Wings and some bigs. But top PG's? Haven't seen any even in the lottery on the few mocks that are out for next year.

Well bentley will try in some warped way explain kendall marshall is better than knight. So insane. I truly believe he looks at the player comparisons on nbadraft.net and decides who he wishes we would draft.

Myck Kabongo
Marquis Teague
Kendall Marshall

But I would really like Austin Rivers, I think he could play PG.

By "Going by what Greg said" - I meant - if we were to pick the best big and the best shooter, in my humble estimation - we should look at Kanter and Jimmer.

Apologies for not being clear on that point.

Note: I have since updated the original post to reflect this.
