Why start his rookie contract now when we have so many other players to develop? Let someone bust/get traded/not workout before we bring him over.

I get not wanting to start his contract prematurely, but I think it is foolish to wait for someone to bust or get traded before we bring him over. Neto offers things that Trey doesn't, and vice-versa. Neto is another legit PG (from small sample size) who can push the tempo. That could be very appealing alongside Exum for stretches. Trey has the ability to make big shots, but hasn't yet learned how to play with pace. If Neto is NBa talent, and has the ability to help the team, why should we leave him overseas? His contract situation is ideal now, and likely won't be next season.
Dude, we don't know **** about Raul Neto. Jack ****. We saw a few summer league games against borderline NBA talent and he impressed once.
