Happy Pioneer Day!

Of course, my favorite story will always be the one Karl Malone recounts about seeing his first 24th of July parade in Salt Lake and thinking the parade was for him.

I need to go up to Salt Lake today. Pioneer Day feels like Flag Day around here - you barely even notice it. Utah's worth celebrating. I love Utah.

do you guys get the day off from work?

Banks(at least front end people - I'm sure the market oriented employees are still working), government, and the University workers definitely do. I think most stores still run normal hours. And a lot of the companies that do International/National business run normally. I have no idea what the overall split would be though. My guess would be about 40% get it off, 60% work.
