Over the last 4 games:

@ Spurs - 6-12 for 50%, 1-2 from 3 for 50% - 13 points

v. Clips - 7-10 for 70%, 2-3 from 3 for 66% - 18 points

v. Mavs - 8-18 for 44%, 3-9 from 3 for 33% - for 20 points

v. Hawks - 9-15 for 60%, 5-8 from 3 for 62.5% - for 23 points

Is his increased accuracy over the last 4 a sign of things to come or an abberation? What say you Jazz fans?

it's a good sign. dude will always improve his game. now, let's get better at pick and roll, D, and attacking the rim.

Burke seems to be getting more comfortable, maybe learning where and when his shot opportunities will be. Hitting 11 of his last 22 3-pt shots is a great sign.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut some days. Streaky shooters will got hot and then they will get cold.

How's his free throw shooting been?

He is 6-6 over the last 5 games. He does not take many FTs...averaging 1.2 per game.

LOL. That certainly seemed to be the case in the game against Atl last week. He took a few ugly looking 3's that just happened to go in - including a buzzer beater from about 30 feet.

His mechanics from 3 right now is mostly pushing the ball with an over-exaggerated hitch - both of which probably the result of tired legs. An easy correction for next season.

But last night was a healthy dose of mid range shots from the elbow coming off screens. Every shot he took he was wide open and every shot with the exception of one or two looked good coming out of his hands.

Burke plays so well under pressure. It's insane. The dude was absolutely built for the fourth-quarter.

I simply cannot wait to watch him progress with this team over the years.

I agree. Burke could be 0-10 but if we're in the final 2 minutes of a close game, I still want him taking the big shots.

Lately he is diversifying his offense particularly hitting floaters.

Hayward commented in that grantland interview that lots of teams are having the big guy come down on pick and rolls, which opens up the ball handler for mid range shots and floaters. If he can consistently hit the open floater or mid range shot, it will be great for our team. This will force teams to either change their D to stop him, or keep it the same and leave him open for a high percentage shot. If they change their defensive philosophy on Burke on those pick and roll situations it should lead to more open 3's or layups depending on what the defense focuses on.

I think the ability to hit a floater will be huge next year.

I'm liking it.

dude must be tired as hell. he had long summer coming off from deep march tourney. and then it's a long season. he must feel like crap waking up in the morning.

he had 3-4 floaters under his belt. all various angles. euro steps too. hit them regularly at michigan. but at michigan he had the ball in his hands all the time and he dictated the pace and ran the show. he never hesitated to take it to the rim in big ten. and i know big ten ain't NBA, but big ten does play tough D. it's a physical league.

either trey is saving his body or he lost confidence in his driving ability. hope he attacks more often.

Timing is way off don't you think? Shouldn't he have prepared for this LAST offseason, so he could've had a 2013-14 "breakout" season where he proves to the world he's in the same class as Paul George, and deserving of a near max contract? Instead, he should wait for next year...

Just lucky tbh. If Burke is not an all-star his first season in the NBA then it only means one thing: he suxks and can't possibly improve
