Anytime you sign a player, you gamble. AK was a roll of the dice and worked out for us short term. Hayward could receive a career ending injury tomorrow, you never know. I have never been able to stand Hayward, but I'm excited for the season,let's see what he can do and make some noise.

Why can't you stand Hayward? He's obviously pretty damn good or he wouldn't have been invited to the national team camp. He's not egotistical; he doesn't boast. He doesn't get into any trouble off the court.

Fortunately Hayward won't be AK, we all know how AK's career ended. I'm officially on the Hayward's bandwagon after watching his works in the summer. But please don't elevate him to 'Godward', he's just a very good, complete player. The status of 'God' is reserved to number 12.

I tend to dislike marshmallows that are incapable of man-ing up on D. Hayward is getting better, but truly needs to grow a pair. Again he's getting better.

Congrats you went to youtube and found Gordon Hayward defense highlights. I could do the same for Greg Osterfat but he still sucked. Even a turd has days it floats to the top.

You certainly can't find Gordon Hayward lack of defense highlights, he's known for being an above average defender. Isolation, and team.
I want to make fun of you, but you do a good enough job making yourself look bad.
If I didn't know you were a long time fan, I would argue you haven't been watching the past few seasons, there is just simply no way a logical mind would come to that conclusion.
Even Kobe stated in his post game interview how impressed he was. You're pretty much alone in that opinion.

Proof of Hayward's defensive prowess? Just watch the last couple of minutes of that Cleveland game. LBJ took it at Hayward a couple of times. Gordon stopped him cold without drawing one of those "superstar fouls." Then he hits the game winner on the other end. If Utah were a winning team in a large market, Gordon would have been an all-star. He's got a complete game. Only problem with him is he doesn't take enough shots to score 20+. All-stars, with a few exceptions, are the players who self-promote and score a bunch.
