A contest is going on where the children's hospital affiliated with Children's Miracle Network that gets the most votes wins $20K from CU Direct. I believe a local credit union will match the amount. Right now Primary Children's Hospital is in the lead, but they've been going back and forth with a hospital from Michigan. The voting ends at 11:59 PM pacific time. So if you or someone you know has been positively impacted by Primary Children's Hospital, you should take a minute to vote. You can vote once per device. It only takes a minute.

Call me cynical but I never donate any more due to the low percentage of donations that actually goes to the charity after people's salaries, administrative fees, etc.

My dream is to start a charity where 90+% of the money actually goes to the cause.

In good news, CU Direct decided to just give $20K to both Primary Children's and the hospital in Michigan that was close in the voting, in addition to giving $5K to each of the next 4 hospitals in the voting standings. So it worked out well.
