Holy Draft Picks, Batman!

Stifle Tower

Punch Bowl Re-Filler
Interesting roster trivia:
Of the 12 players currently on the roster, only TWO were not 1st round picks: McNeal and Evans. And NINE are former lottery picks. Granted, that includes two who are now turrible (Biedrins and Jefferson).

Just imagine next season if the same thing is true: replacing Biedrins/Jefferson with our top-5 pick + GS's. Perhaps bringing in one more quality FA to replace Marvin on the roster. Jazz have gone from a team that used to make a living finding hidden gems to one accumulating 1st-round talent!

It's way freaking exciting! Seriously I love what there doing! Plus , I love listening to Dennis with spence and monson every friday. Hes pretty open! Lol, after today maurice is forsure gone, tomic is traded for more assets, jazz made a few rebuilding mistake after trading Dwill. He's just so bold. Smartest Jazz move in awhile, trading Layden for Dennis! I love that he knows all the Spurs secrets too! Go Jazz....in 2014 /2015

Beantown, look at the roster Stockton and Malone played with. Shannon Anderson and bryon Russell were second round picks. Malone was a 13th pick, Stockton 16th, Ostertag was at the very end of the first like (around 30th). Hornacek was a second round pick. That team went to the finals twice. Keefe was the 9th pick (never lived up to it), Big Dog, Foster were either low 1st round picks or second round picks (too lazy to look). Mark Eaton was a 4th round pick.

Right now the Jazz have two 3rd picks (Favors/Kanter), Williams 2nd pick (yea I know he isn't worthy), Burke 9th pick, Burks 12th pick, Hayward 9th pick, Gobert 27th and Neto 47th. If you look the history of the Jazz especially in the S&M era the Jazz played with a lot of second round picks and undrafted players. I can only imagine what would have happened if the Jazz had high picks during the S&M era.

That was the whole point of my post, especially when I mentioned replacing Biedrins and Jefferson, who were lottery picks, with a high lottery pick and another 1st rounder. Jazz have never had that many players who were picked that high. Doubt we'll ever have the star power of S&M, but we can have incredibly talented players 1-8, at least until it comes time to re-sign this next batch (Burke and the 2014 crop). Then the Jazz may need to make choices. But that's ok...we'll be able to keep the 4-5 best, and then fill-in as needed with the picks Lindsey is accumulating now.

Jefferson was good at one time at least. I never liked Biedrins.

Did not read anything, but how insane is it that we (as fans) are asking for a team that has at a maximum for all the players of 29 minutes, and the next is 23 minutes. i have maaaaasive faith, but looking just at those numbers, it is unprecedented.
