How Many Actually Get Caught?

In this case since they are absentee ballots I'm not sure ID's would help. That said, I've been asked before for proof that voters are paid with food, booze or tobacco for their vote. Here's your sign.

I wish someone would offer me something for my vote. The personal satisfaction derived from fulfilling my civic duty as a concerned and engaged citizen of my city, county, state and country just doesn't seem like enough any more.

I assume JazzSpazz was using sarcasm, since they were absentee ballots cast by the actual voters on the rolls.

Votes for food was fairly common in the 1800s, I'm not surprised to see it in modern times. I'm not sure why anyone would be surprised.

Where's my food in exchange for my vote? Until I get such an offer I will remain surprised to hear about it happening elsewhere.

I'm posting my vote on KSL classifieds as we speak...

Is there any chance I could get in trouble if I actually did that? It might be fun.

I doubt you'd get in trouble since you're free to vote based on the criteria of your choosing. It could be a different story for someone providing the incentive for your vote.

Better not try.

The younger folks might be surprised, as they were not alive in the 1800's to see it.

Yes, there may have been a teensy bit of sarcasm in my last post, and this one, and all posts going forward.
