I hate Sheridan

Ever since that idiot posted that Utah and SA were discussing a trade of Jefferson for Mills, Splitter and Jackson I have been on Jazzfanz all the time seeing if that trade goes down. I think Mills and Splitter are good value for the Jazz and I want that trade so bad all I do is check the board night and day. Mills was incredible during the Olympics and can just catch fire. Splitter is a very good pick and roll big.

Every time another trade is proposed I get more and more deflated. Jefferson for Gortat, and Jared, yuk. Paul for Shumpert double yuk. We all agree we need a point guard and decent third big to split time with Kanter and Favors. I want the SA trade so bad I have become obsessed with making this trade. Please make it happen and I promise to hold all negative Corbin comments for 1 month.

Most people think that's a good deal for the Spurs. Sheridan seems to think it's on the table for the Jazz until the trade deadline.

I wouldn't bat an eye at taking that deal. It's easily as good as we will get. Splitter is in no way a big to sneeze at. Plays smart and does EXACTLY what you'd want from a 3rd-4th big. We'd still have a front court almost every team in the league would envy. AND he's restricted (right?) next season.

Mills is cheap with huge upside and fills a spot of desperate need. If he doesn't work out it costs us almost nothing.

Basically we'd get to sample the product while we hold onto the receipt. If it doesn't work out, oh well. If it does, its a great trade, IMO. It's a "win/eh" trade. There is no lose.

I can't image anyone giving us anything better for an expiring Al.

Would stephen jackson be considered a losing part of that trade though?

Not in my opinion. He's expiring. Tinsley likes it here it seems, knows the dude pretty well, maybe he sells him on being a model citizen for the whopping 2+ months he's here. Or he's bought out, waved or given Rogers home address.....whatever.
