If Chase is worth #18 is Jeremy worth #17?

I don't think Evans is really worth more than Budinger, but wouldn't it be nice if the Jazz could springboard his slam dunk contest success into a late first? It would be nice to see the kid go to a place where he'll get more burn anyway.

Nope. I think Jeremy Evans is a one trick pony, and other GM's know it. He is like Craig Hodges. Except, instead of being a three point shootout specialist, he jumps really high and dunks.

Budinger is a role NBA player. Evans is.....huh. He has no NBA skill other than jumping. So, no, he isn't worth the 17th pick.

You don't think a team like GSW would consider the #30 or #35? Too much youth is too much youth.

30 or 35 is different, I just cannot see a team trading their 17th pick in this widely-hyped draft for Jeremy
Evans at this stage in his career. Besides, he does a lot for the community, and has great chemistry with our players. I'd rather hang onto him.

As with most threads started prior to the draft, this entire conversation is irrelevant considering Jeremy Evans is a restricted free agent and is not eligible to be traded by the Jazz before signing a contract.

I wonder who the Wolves SG is if the Webster buyout rumors are true? Could it be Chase Budinger?

That's a mini-shot slice, eh? I figure posters of your caliber auto-consider SnT rules, etc. It's not like J.E. is going to demand a high enough salary to hinder this. So what do you think he would fetch, if anything?
