If I could...and it works on the trade machine

It wasn't a battle, I just didn't agree with your post, especially comparing Rondo with Price. Very poor.

This.

Yes, I am sure if you put Rondo on any other team in the league he would instantly drop from league leader in assists and among the league leaders in steals to 0.8 APG and 0.2 SPG. And his .475 FG% would instantly drop to .300 or thereabouts.

So, aside from the debate regarding Rondo's ability to shoot, there is no ****ing way the Jazz should deal Harris AND Millsap and come away with only Rondo. Unless they get a reacharound with it.

Even though I disagree with your assessment of Rondo, I do agree with this. That is too much to give up for Rondo at this point. If we brought in other assets along the way then sure, but not simply to send out Harris and Millsap to get back Rondo alone.

you can replace millsap with jefferson and it still works

This... I would do this trade in a heart beat. This gives us plenty of cash at the end of the year by moving jefferson and memo's expiring contract to go after some vets in the off season and before you know we are back being relevant again, with a stellar pg that will lead this team and get our youg guys open shots and couple of vets mixed in for toughness.

Rondo led the league in assists? When did this happen? I didn't realize that so I'll change my assessment.

This

You are right. Nash beat him out by 0.2 APG (11.4 to 11.2). I guess in that case you are completely correct that he is barely more than warmed-over ********* as a player. Jeez, the guy can't even beat out Nash for assists lead for the league, just CP3, D Will and everyone else. He was only second in the league in SPG too! Holy crap how did anyone get the impression that he was anything even close to the level of Ronnie Price. He was also second in the league among PG for rebounds per game.

Huh, the best the guy could do was 2nd best in 2 major statistical categories. What a loser!

What was I thinking?

Rondo is a winner.. He's young, tough, and I don't buy the "attitude problem" thing. I wouldn't give up Sap AND Harris, but I certainly would give up Al for him.. That said, I think the only way the Celtics trade him is for CP3.
