What's new

If Lindsey isn't willing to give Hayward max, he should trade him right now.

I don't think he's worth max. I think he'll get max.

This is the simple concept that most folks around here can't seem to grasp. What he's worth is of minor consequence. What he'll get is what most skilled players get coming off their rookie contract. And that's about 120% of their worth.

Max guy = someone who can kill it in the second half against a mediocre team on the 4th of a 4 games in 5 nights at home in a arena at high altitude?

.

Jrue Holliday was sucking air hard last night. It was obvious the sea level to Utah air was fatiguing him. He still hit big shots though.

As much as other teams like Hayward I have a hard time seeing one of them offering him a max contract. A lucrative one, probably, but not a max one. And that's the only way we'd have to consider paying him the max. We won't bid against ourselves.

Of course, watch Hayward get a matchable contract offer from a team and pull an Eric Gordon, "please just let me go" "I don't want to play for you anymore" etc.

I knew your angst was a simple case of heart break + PSBU (poisonous sperm build up).

Get well soon.
