dont pay attention to his shooting %'s, for you to compare his %'s to another players like its apples to apples, is a lie
Why do we have per/48 or per/36 stats? It's a way of evening out stats for comparison purposes. So divide by 3/4 and you have the number of points given up in 36 mins, which is what Al pretty much averages. So defense doesn't matter if you're an "offensive" person? OK, let's get Jennings and bring back Boozer and Jefferson. There's our "Big 3." Add in Foye at SG and Hayward at SF. They both shot 41% on their 3-pt'ers. Add Mullens as our backup big. That's a championship, right?that stat is dumb, al jefferson allows 110 points per per 100 possessions
is basketball a 1 on 1 game
how the hell do you credit al jefferson with 100 possessions like it actually has relevance to a single basketball game
does that stat take into account the quality of the perimeter defense infront, or thats all liable on Offensive players like Al and Mullens

Utah would be a great spot for this kid, even if u hate the idea i think it puts some perspective on what we got from Al for 13mil per year
not saying he helps us a ton, he doesnt need minutes, this kid needs to develop and he will be way better than youd expect
i really like the idea of bringing him around other really talented Big Guys like Favors and Kanter, he should be able to learn some moves(and work harder, hes got no excuse in my book, hes too talented, obviously WAS lazy)
if Mullens had post footwork it would be very easy for him to score, at a high FG%
that being said, i like to gamble. this kid is only 24 years old, big guys take longer to develop, plus hes of a size and body control that u just dont see every year
hes cheap and has massive room for improvement! and wont be looking for crazy minutes, hes not a Defensive player
and he cant create his own shot
but he can catch the ball, and pass it, and he can finish in an unstoppable type of way..
if we have a PG like jennings who can take his defender quickly and were playing Offense vs a broken D, Mullens can really benefit from that.
thats what im thinking, and hes 24 and Ultra Athletic for someone that size, hes atleast 7'1" with shoes on
