Houston paid cash to Dallas and Detroit to acquire two non-guaranteed players to send to the Clips so that the salaries would match up. Both of these guys were second round picks in their day. I'm sure they will be on the waiver wire before the season starts.

..., no names? no positions?

Sorry, not interesting at all.

Also to Portland for Quarterman. We know because we talked about this in the thread about the Chris Paul trade.

Edit: Except they didn't use Quarterman in the CP3 deal. But they did acquire him in the same way I believe.

They also got a player from Atlanta.

Houston is trying to angle for a Paul George trade. So any one not used in the CP3 trade is probably done to further their chanced for George.

These were all players acquired for cash to the Rockets

Shawn Long from Philly

Darren Hilliard from Detroit

Ryan Kelly from Atlanta

Tim Quarterman from Portland

Deandre Liggins from Dallas

Liggins and Hilliard were traded to the Clips. The others are awaiting the arrival of PG13.

I find it interesting. I was curious how they did it and how it fits in with their desire to go after Paul George
