Locke broke down all of the Damian Lillard field goals from last night on his podcast today. It's worth a listen, in my opinion. Locke sees things little differently than I saw them, but I appreciated his perspective.

It basically comes down to either we are going to get roasted with a drop big (WK) out there or we are going to go switching where our personnel is *** for switching.

We just dont have a good defensive team now. Even though WK is very advanced for his age, he isnt going to make the Jazz a top 10 defense alone.

He's a 35 year old rookie head coach who has done an incredible job. Sorry he is not a miracle worker who can teach a bad defensive team how to guard Damian Lillard in January.

That's kinda what I'm getting at with my previous comment. Opposing iso players eyes must light up when seeing our team on the schedule. Mind you it's felt that way since like Kobe days
 
I miss when Dame could dunk. The Gobert/Dame at the rim showdowns where some of the best of Gobert's career.

Suggesting that NAW and THT play a position and are of a size of player to put on lillard isn't hyperbolic. Hell, THT even did guard lillard a bit last night. Dok didn't though. If you see Dok, a 7 footer who never ever plays, the exact same way as you see THT and NAW then the discussion is over. Agree to disagree.

When a player is going off, one way to try and slow him down is to start calling plays for the guy he is guarding and even run some plays where the guy has to fight through screens. You tire him out on the defensive end.
