I created a thread about this awhile back but it appears I'm in a minority of one about the physical play getting out of hand. The Suns were ridiculous. A foul could've been called on every possession against them yet the Jazz only shot 21 foul shots, and I think plays where there is an aggressive push on the back that could seriously injure a player like the one Booker gave to Rudy should be a flagrant foul because there is absolutely no play on the ball.
You know, I think there's some merit to this, although you framed it differently. You said, literally, that the Jazz are soft and that's why teams are being physical. I don't agree. I think teams like the Suns, Orlando, Phili, etc. (young, scrappy, inconsistent, losing), go after this team because they do not respect them, yet. They think they are better than us, and they know the refs will let the teams play when it gets physical. Make no mistake, the Jazz are out there pushing, grabbing, and playing physical too, we're just better at it and know how to win these games. Our defense is too good, our players are too savy, and Rudy ****ing Gobert.
This team used to play that way against good teams and lose. I see how those good teams saw the Jazz back then. We're now more disciplined, skilled, and talented. I like that we can beat these types of teams more regularly. The next steps will be beating the good teams this way, which we've struggled with so far this season.
