Cleveland bought a pick for 2 million which was KAy Felder and then gave him a nice signing bonus. GMS do their jobs but to call him a genius because of this is plain silly. It is why OKC wil lend up with better record this season because they have a star and role players also but they got the star.,

I thought Pleiss' contract is guaranteed to the Jazz owe him the money regardless of whether he is cut or not.
Minimum contract, negligible if any savings depending on who you replace him with.

What would you have done to make the Jazz a contender this off-season? Or better yet lets hear your 5 year plan with the benefit of hindsight of what you would have done that would have made Jazz better right now. I would prefer if it was remotely realistic and lets not do stuff that is pure luck like winning the lottery the year there is a good player at the top and picking that player, or pretending you knew every player in the draft that would be good and you would have picked.
Everyone defines "star" their own way to meet their argument. What is your definition of "star" and what is your list of current NBA "stars." Next please map out the specific and credible deals that DL could execute to get them on the Jazz.
That is a fair hypothesis.
No doubt it help DL's support from the Millers if he is looking out for their bottom line. And helps his power within the organization.
But it is hard to know how the Millers think about these things regarding another transaction. If DL says to them "we don't believe Tibor can help us win and our team will be better off without him on the roster," are they more likely to say "yes" if they just raked in $3MM on a separate deal? My guess is "no" but who knows?
I do hope this type of move builds goodwill in the future when they may want to go above the cap and even into luxury tax territory if the deal gives them a credible change for a title.
