His GLeague stats are all world but it makes you wonder why Pop waived him before his rookie deal expired. He was the 19th player taken in the 2019 draft two spots behind NAW and well ahead of THT. I guess he takes Brantley's spot.

I think they don't want to sign anyone to a guaranteed deal because of the tax so they are just going to keep signing 10 days. Could be wrong on that, but I don't think they can sign anyone and not go over the tax.

At this point we are fine in regards to the tax I think they just want to try a couple of guys out and see what happens.

Jazz probably want an extended look at him before the end of the year, but I could see it turn into a non-guaranteed spot in TC or Summer league next year.
I like this signing. Was a fan during the draft, but he clearly wasn’t ready for the NBA. Hopefully he shows up and plays well. He’s still only 23.

His defense, especially transition defense was not good with the Spurs, often with a similar defensive effort of Donovan Mitchell type last year, and allegedly had a bad attitude. He has looked decent in the G-League, and that demotion may have been a wake up call for him.
He can shoot, has size and has a good handle. Definitely worth a flyer in my mind.
