Dante and Hood are performing just as expected. Dante is cool on both ends, impacts the game but can't shoot, lacks strength and conditioning. I am happy with this, because these are the things that can be learned/improved. He is smart, crafty, quick and unselfish.
Hood is smooth. He played like a seasoned veteran out there, he is NBA-ready.
Gobear looks better than last year and is hungry and aggressive as always. He still needs to learn where to position himself. That being said, with a little more experience and workout he might be ready to play 20+ minutes. I don't see him and Favors play together. Spacing could be a big problem offensively. But Favors has good hands, perhaps he can improve his jump-shot? Gobear + Kanter looks like a solid duo but it has the potential to be disastrous defensively given both guys poor positioning and lack of experience. Maybe not? I remember some solid minutes from this duo last year.
Good luck to Coach Q!
