jazz vs spurs in 1st round breakdown position by position

Pf: TD 13.4 pts, 9.1 rbs vs Sap 17.2 pts, 7.9 rbs advantage Jazz

sf: RJ 11.6 pts, 4 rbs vs Ak47 12 pts, 5.5 rbs even

c: Blair 8.7 pts, 7.2 rbs vs Big Al 18 pts, 9.2 rbs advantage Jazz

sg: Manu 18 pts, 3.9 rbs vs Bell 8.1, 2.4 rbs advantage spurs

pg: Paker 17.1 pts, 6.6 assists vs Harris 15.2 pts, 7.6 assists even

jazz has advantage in 2 positions, spurs only has 1. If we get memo back healthy, i say jazz in 6!!

1) Now do a bench comparison
2) You really needed to create a seperate thread for this?

That sg advantage that San Antonio has is more than triple either of the advantages that you're giving to the Jazz, and there's a lot more to winning than just a few random stats, but what the hell, pass the koolaide. I'm on board.

Now, let's hope we can climb up into the eight position.

The Manu over Bell advantage counts for a lot more than you give it credit for. Manu would use Raja as a human puppet.

i think Big Al will eat Blair alive in the post. If they use TD on big Al, Sap wil have his way.

either way, jazz's front court is loaded against aging star TD and height challenged Blair.

Yes this explains very clearly why we are the top team in the league and the spurs are playing .500 basketball (less than that the past 20 games).

spurs in 1 game by 50, then jazz concede.

with the way big al is playing, jazz's front line wil crush spurs'. this doesnt even count in memo.

its the backcourt that wil the jazz, but Harris actually matches up Tony Parker better than DW with his speed.

If Raja can hold his ground against Manu and limit him to 20 pts, i say jazz got great shot winning the game.

No #8 team will beat Spurs this year.
Spurs have played most consistent ball of any team in league this year.

The Jazz are not going to make the playoffs this year -- they barely beat the Kings who were without T Evans in overtime at home!

Please. Please. PLEASE. Stop this. The Jazz should not make the playoffs to be 1st-round fodder for the 2011 NBA Champions. We will make better use of the lottery pick.

Only if they trade it. If they keep it then they would have been better off in the playoffs. This draft just is not that deep.

I feel like us as a team merely making it to the playoffs and getting through 5 games or wtv with the spurs is HUGELY beneficial to team-building and chemistry; seeing as a lot of the players are still young and/or works in progress, playoffs are always a great time to have some team-gelling. Plus its a huge confidence booster, I mean im sure theyd all feel retarded for going from a 27-13 record to a tenth seed. Id rather have this experience than getting a a humphries-esque 12th-14th pick, especially in this draft. We have 2 rookie PF, we have a rookie SF/SG, we have a point guard in his peak + a young PF/C , and two project euroballer centers. After we get the pick from Jersey this draft, I feel like the second pick will be used as atrading chip AT THE MOST, and seeing as most teams realize how awful of a draft it is, I doubt itll be largely beneficial. my $0.02

Your really serious about this? Hope you don't have a house to bet on the Jazz winning, much less in 6 games. lol

everyone was ruling us out in the denver vs jazz series last year, they probably laugh at me for saying Jazz in 6, but we did it.

Spurs' front line is weak, TD+Jefferson+Blaire is no competition of Al+AK+Sap, if we got Memo healthy, i might even go for jazz in 5.
