Down low:

It's difficult to win a 7 game series if you're out matched by a large margin down low, and oyster clearly is here. I have the best center ever in Hakeem Olajuwon going against a guy with zero athleticism, is 6'9 and played in 50's. This match up in the post isn't even close.

You really think Petitt could stop Hakeem when Shaq, David Robinson, and Patrick Ewing couldn't?

Then I have Barkley, a top 3 PF of all time, going against a guy, who although was very good in his time, is NOT a PF. If Barkley managed to lead the league in rebounds multiple times, score 28 PPG, and win an MVP during one of the most competitive times in basketball history against guys much taller than him, then imagine what he would do against someone who is actually smaller than him.

Then I have the 2nd leading shot blocker of all time (Dikembe Mutumbo) backing up the 1st all time leading shot blocker (Hakeem) to enforce even more elite defense and rebounding.

This series would be absolutely brutal down low for oyster's team.

3 point shooting:

oyster has many good players, but I'm not convinced they would all mesh well since he has absolutely ZERO floor spreading. His roster is full of guys who were lucky to average 30% from 3, and some who were lucky to even average 20%. Chemistry matters. Floor spreading matters.

My starting lineup may not have the best 3 point shooters (although, people forget that Gary Payton lead the league in 3 pointers made in 2000), but my bench does. I have the greatest shooter of all time in Ray Allen coming off the bench, along with Glen Rice (one season he averaged 27 PPG and 47% from 3 on 5.6 attempts per game...he was an ELITE shooter...he even beat Reggie Miller in the 3pt contest), and Rashard Lewis, another elite shooter. Not to mention Deron Williams is no slouch from 3.

Stopping MJ:

My team is better equipped to stop MJ than anyone's. I have the 3rd best SG ever in Dwyane Wade to go head to head with him, along with a guy whose nickname was the Jordan-Stopper (Gary Payton). Add in the fact that Hakeem and Mutumbo would be waiting for Jordan down low...

Grant Hill:

Grant Hill is the X factor.

We're talking about Grant Hill IN HIS PRIME. Hill is one of only four players to average 20 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists during their first four seasons. The others were Oscar Robertson, Larry Bird, and LeBron James. Along those same lines, only James, Bird, and Robertson accumulated as many points, rebounds, and assists during their first six seasons as Hill.

Grant Hill averaged more rebounds and assists than LeBron effing James in their first four seasons.

Overall:

I have the #1 center, a top-3 PF, top-3 SG, the best defensive PG ever (only one to ever win DPOY), and the greatest shooter ever.

My team is bigger, more athletic, has far better floor spreading, better defense and rebounding, and would destroy in the post. We're going up against MJ, and we're the best equipped team to stop him.

Career Avg Pts Assists TRB
C- Bob Pettit 26.5 3 16.2
PF- Elgin Baylor 27.4 4.3 13.5
SF- Adrian Dantley 24.3 3 5.7
SG- Michael Jordan 30.1 5.3 6.2
PG- Kevin Johnson 17.9 9.1 3.3
Bench Pts Assists TRB
Walt Bellamy 20.1 2.4 13.7
Domonique Wilkins 24.8 2.5 6.7
Tim Hardaway 17.7 8.2 3.3
Bob Cousy 18.4 7.5 5.2
Wes Unseld 10.8 3.8 13.8

Dantley is my biggest concern here. I don't see him meshing well with the other players. Dantley didn't even want to share part of the lime-light, let alone be overshadowed by players like Jordan or Wilkins. I sense am implode here that even Jordan can't stop.

MJ will always keep you in it, but this is mj vs an all star team. Sorry oyster had you started Dominique I might have given it to you.

Giving a shout out to the guy on my team Jazzfanz probably know the least well: Glen Rice.

Here he scores 56 points in a playoff game against Shaq's Magic.

This is tougher than it looks. First of all, I would start Jordan and 'Nique together at the wings. That's just legendary, and I don't think Spycam's wings could compete with that physically.

I agree that Spycam has a one of the best center rotations in the game--although there's another that I think is better.

PG rotations I'll call even.

I don't like Spycam's PF combination. Rashard especially doesn't rebound well enough at this level, and his shooting was streaky enough that I think players would leave him open and double the **** out of Hakeem.

I think this would be a close game. I'll give the vote to Oyster.

Why do people with Michael Jordan in these fantasy things routinely flesh out ****ty teams?
