Anybody interested? I would be for the right price. If they could work out a deal that's 3-4 yrs for $5-6MM a yr, I'd do it. I know he's a RFA, so I'd even go so far as to doing a sign & trade w/ Boston where we also pick up the Clips 2012 1st rounder (top 10 protected) that they own. I'd give up Millsap + Miles for that. OK let's hear how big of an idiot I am.
 
Green is an okay player, but in my opinion Millsap is a better player. So this would be about the clippers 2012 pick. Most people think the Clippers will be in the playoffs- so if it is a lottery pick it will 13th or 14th pick.

It isn't a horrible idea but Green is best as a 6th man and undersized PF. He is basically and less tough more athletic, taller Millsap.

Green will probably end up with a contract in the range of Millsap.

From the Celtics point of view they are going to want more than Miles- probably a 2nd round pick.

I think overall Millsap > Green. But I'm looking for someone that can be a SF/PF but excels more at the 3 (which is the opposite of Paul). I think he gives us a guy that can definitely play SF and give us some much needed outside shooting.

Green was a good system guy for OKC; then got exposed in Boston for the so-so player that he is.

Don't want him - don't need him.
 
I don't like Jeff Green and I think it would cost more than $5-6 million/year to get him in Utah.

Also don't forget what Boston gave up to get Green - and even though Ainge has some job security, most GM's aren't likely to quickly give an aquisition like that away without getting something substantial in return. Again though, my main sticking point is Jeff Green the player. I just don't like him, and he played the stretch 4 in OKC where he had his most success...are we sure he's a quality SF in the NBA?
 
Oh hell no.

Not big enough to be a 4.

Yet doesn't have all the perimeter skills to be a very good 3.

I'd prefer Danny Granger.
