Trailblazers just traded for Thomas Robinson & Robin Lopez. They only have 4 million in cap space.

Should the Jazz go after him? 3 man rotation of Favors, Kanter & Hickson. He is only 24 turns 25 in September.

Averaged 12 rebounds and 10 points in 29 minutes. 56% from the field.

OR would you rather have Carl Landry? Not comparing Millsap because he will cost a lot more.

I have a feeling Landry would cost just as much. If he's cheaper and willing to join us, I'd choose Landry.

I like Hickson's fire - can play the 4 or 5 so he can spell Favors or Kanter and get his 25-28 mpg

Not sure how many games they'll win; but a Carroll, Hickson, Evans front court coming off the bench could be fun to watch.

This. I've liked Hickson since his rookie year, and fits our rotation much more then Landry

Landry had a 2 yr/$8M deal that he opted out of. I think he could be signed for 3 years at $5-6M per. Certainly cheaper than Millsap, but he's not quite the shooter that Paul is, either. Millsap has range out to the 3; Landry not quite that far. Either would be good additions, though, considering Favors and Kanter (and Gobert) haven't shown consistency outside the paint. Enes has the ability to step outside a bit. And we hope Derrick develops. But until they do, teams are just going to take away the inside. I'd take Landry over Hickson, but Millsap over both. Besides, Hickson isn't even on the market. Portland now has a pretty good bench, which was the primary reason they lost so many games last season. And that's the main reason I project so many losses for Utah: good starters, but the bench won't be able to keep pace with other teams.

Did I miss something? Hickson is a UFA.

On the surface i'd love to have JJ on the team. I don't know what is "deal" is tho. He has bounced around a lot, and can't stick even when he plays great. There has got to be some major baggage with this guy I'd think.

He had it out with Keith Smart in Sac. - heard he asked the GM to cut him and they did.
