Jordan Adams - 23rd pick??

I wouldn't mind Adams at 23. Everyone talks about him not being an athlete but he does a lot of things well. He will fill up the stat sheet. Also, he didn't have too many bad games while at UCLA. I think he plays smart.

Jordan Adams had the lowest vertical jump in the draft. I'm not high on Jordan Adams. Doesn't seem like a good athlete.

There are two ways to look at this though. If he was already a beast in college despite that vertical, imagine how much better he could be by adding 4 inches at P3.

At 23 who the **** knows? Just have to trust that the staff did their homework. Maybe the Jazz see something in this dudes game that will translate well to the NBA.

I would take PJ Hairston and Elfrid Payton over this dude.

I probably would too but we don't know if either will be there (my guess is they won't).

I really worry about this kid's head and defense, but his length is insane and he plays with as much "it" as anyone at the top of this draft. If he doesn't get his head, body, and D right, he still has ample potential as a 6th man. I'm down.

Ya I like him a lot. But again. I would rather trade up for Wiggins. BUT keep Burks. Not worth trading Burks also.

I'm in the camp that I'd rather gamble on the upside of LaVine than the reliability of Adams. I just don't think his game translates well to the NBA at all. Pass. Gamble on elite potential since we're fully into the draft and develop phase of rebuilding. If you want a shooter, C. J. Wilcox is better in almost every way IMO.

We learn a bit about Adams here and we also learn about what Favors thinks about Utah....

Adams seems like an intelligent, low-key guy.

I like how people are saying we have had 3 threads in 1 hour.
I posted this 2 months ago.
I just bumped it back up. As we were already talking about him.

What's the head stuff about? I know little about him.

Just that he plays kind of stupid sometimes and hasn't prioritized being in shape (which I will never understand). Maybe saying he lacks focus and good habits is a better way of putting it.

So you trade up to get the pretty boy. I'm not really interested in Adams unless it's at 35 (maybe not even then.) I just think there's better options at 23 that will be worth the pick. Don't see Adams there at all.

I think a lot of people will be in favor of Adams on draft day...

One other thing; in regards to his position, he shouldn't have too big of a problem playing at SF, secondarily.

I agree. Seems like a great player off the bench. Could become a Danny Green type player but longer so he could play both positions.

He has lost weight throughout the years and improved his jumper each year. I like his progress. Even though he started off kind of fat. but the improvement is noticeable.
