Wizards PF will be unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.

This season he is averaging 6,6 points, 3,5 reb and 0,7 ast in 15 minutes coming off the bench.

I will take him over Booker at the same price without a doubt...he is younger, taller and has still room for improvement.

He has an elite hook shot and plays solid defense, especially post defense. His jump shot is improving too.

In addition he is French like Rudy and played for Cholet Basket too.

I have been a fan of seraphin but the reason he hasn't done better in the nba was his commitment and weight have been issues. it seems he has done better with it and maybe being here to work with Rudy will help.

he doesn't bring the nasty streak the booker has though.

I like him - his defensive rating and FG% allowed at/near the rim are a little pedestrian but I still see upside in this kid. He's a good third option for a back-up 4/5's this off-season

1-Tomic
2-Frank Kaminsky
3-Kevin Seraphin

I'm less fond of him than you are (strikes me as a bonehead at times) but I definitely think we should go after him for a backup 5 if we don't grab Tomic or Frank.

Getting a competent backup for Rudy is probably #1 most needed upgrades imo. We won't be able to play Rudy 34-38MPG unless we want to injure him. Tomic is a dream pickup.

My guess is it will be Tomic and Cooley.

weren't the announcers the other day taking the mickey out of seraphin for not EVER passing the ball once he gets it ?

I appreciate Booker energy and toughness on the court but he is an undersized big, plays questionable defense and has average offense.

Jazz need a more offensively skilled 3rd big man. Booker is not indispensable.

He is french so I have followed Seraphin quite a lot. He has one skill : a crafty post scorer with a decent midrange shot. A sort of lower grade Big Al. his man to man defense is honest enough but he is a very poor rebounder, and an offensive black hole. He does have skills that are useful in the NBA, if a team is looking for some interior scoring punch of the bench, but he wouldn't fit with what the Jazz want I believe. I would pass.

that's enough for me don't want him.

I've always been a fan of Seraphin. He hasn't reached his potential and I think he'd be a good backup if the price is right.
