Well, at least their Baskeball Federation.

Hadn't seen this posted here or in the General Sports forum. If it was, I apologize. I know few read the news feeds, but congrats to AK47. He has a big job ahead of him trying to rebuild their national program.

Hey Jazz Spazz. I saw your post. Why did you delete it? Is it because you knew I'd say the same thing back?

Almost to the end of page 1 and not one post about AK getting elected to his position. Where the AK supporters at? I was very critical of AK back on the old board and one of the first to suggest he should be traded. But AK deserves a lot of praise for taking on this job. He wants to rebuild Russian basketball from the ground up, starting with their youth programs.

“Right now, we’re choosing from 20, 30 people (for the national team), but I want there to be a big number, I want it to be 300, so we have the privilege of choice,” he says. Focusing only on the Russian pro game while neglecting youth basketball is like “trying to fix the roof when the foundations, the walls are not there.”

Perfect guy for the job. Congrats to AK.

I would love to.
Or use your mod powers to simply change the thread title. I've never been a mod, but I doubt that's very hard to do. Please put an "n" on the end of "Russia" and add "baskeball federation."

Problem solved for any I have misled or offended.

Bloody freakin' hell some of you are so petty.
