"I think he's going to have a very bright future in this league. He reminds me of a more talented Jeff Hornacek."

-Kobe on Gordon Hayward

Kobe is a sell-out bitch with no soul and holds the record for inability to speak the truth.

Having said that, Hayward will be better than Kobe (if he re-signs).

Kobe might be an awesome basketball player, but like Michael Jordan, a horrible judge of talent...

An old and one-legged Jeff Hornacek did more for the Jazz in his first three seasons on the Jazz than a young/athletic/uninjured Hayward has done in his first 3 seasons. Just saying.

How he was old and one-legged at his first three seasons. Did he drafted at age 30?

When he came to the Jazz he was a veteran and a guy who improved his game at Phoenix like Hayward will do with Jazz. So ofc he will do much more than Hayward at his first 3 years with the Jazz.

Hornacek was a Bad A with Phoenix. In his last year in Phoenix he was averaging 20 a game, shooting 44% from the 3 point line (the REAL 3 point line) and was an all-star and player of the month in December of that year. So Bad A was he, that he was traded for Charles Barkley. Still amuses me that we got him two years later for Jeff Malone. That deal made us contenders.

Kobe said this last year. Hornacek was a bad man. Great shooter and player but it is unfair to Gordon to judge him after three years. Circumstances were different and Hayward hasn't even reached his potential.

I think what Kobe meant when he said "bright future" is that Gordon is the whitest guy in the league and reminds him him how blindingly white Jeff Hornacek was/is.

Sir, please go back and read my post SLOWLY. I said first three years with the Jazz, not first three years in the NBA. Reading comprehension can be fun if you accept it. Give it a shot.

I think you should do it, sir. I said at his(Hornacek) first three years with the Jazz he was a veteran and he was one of the best shooters in the NBA and maybe the best. So comparing Hayward's very first three years in the NBA and Hornacek's first three year with the Jazz its a little unfair. Who knows how Hayward's game would look like at his age 30 (Horny's age when he came to the Jazz).

Horny started his NBA career at age 23 and Hayward already has played three seasons at this age. Hayward is very open to improvement so who knows maybe he will end up having a career as impressive as Hornacek's. And maybe there is some truth in what Kobe said.
