Kobe on hayward....

The more and more I watch Hayward, the more I become convinced that his so called "potential" he has already been reached. He simply doesn't have that "it" factor to be a superstar. He had the opportunity to take over the game late in the Clippers games and LEAD the team, instead it was full of turnovers, bricks, and his usual passiveness. He couldn't even dominate against the Clippers scrubs. It's a joke that he's even being mentioned in the same sentence as Hornacek. I honestly hope the Jazz don't blow their wad on him...

Well hayward has never been in this situation. So he'll get better with experience.

"I think he's going to have a very bright future in this league. He reminds me of a more talented Jeff Hornacek."

-Kobe on Gordon Hayward

You forgot the part where he said, "I am very very fond of Gordon Hayward (Mancrush).

I think you are wrong in your analysis about not having the IT factor. Hayward has it. He just doesn't have the elite athleticism that virtually all the superstars have. Hayward gets pissed when he loses, works hard, and has a high BBIQ. He takes the game seriously. Thus, he has the IT factor. And if you are saying he isn't a natural born killer. Either was LeBron, but he has largely learned how to be. Hayward can learn that.

Hey, I'm a foreigner (a Turk actually), became a member here recently; so from someone who started learning English at age 15, is Kobe's sentence correct Englishwise?...

I mean, Hayward would remind him of Hornacek, that's OK, but reminding him of a more talented Hornacek?
I think somebody can "remind you of" a real person only, that actually lived or existed.
Has a real person named or described as "a more talented Hornacek" ever lived so that Kobe would be making reference to him? No.
Wouldn't it be more meaningful if he said like "Hayward reminds of Hornacek but with more talent" ?
(Or is it me who learned the English sentence structure wrong...)

Anyway, many people from Turkey are following the Jazz (for obvious reason); and Turkey really is a basketball and NBA lover country, more than you would think (we were lucky to watch the OKC with KD here in Istanbul a few weeks ago.) We hope the Jazz will be fine, but I personally believe there is still a long way to go with this youngs squad.
